3 employees of Adjara region of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance have tested positive for Coronavirus

At this stage, the health condition of 3 employees infected with the novel coronavirus is satisfactory.

Within the frames of the targeted testing of the risk groups on novel COVID-19, in accordance with the rules and periodicity established by the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of the Ministry of Health, customs officers and the full staff of employees (totally 185 people) were examined in the Batumi Clearance Economic Zone. In addition, 99 customs officers of “Sarpi” customs checkpoint were conducted the targeted scheduled testing.

Within the examined individuals, three employees have tested positive (the results of the samples examined in Richard Lugar Center for Public Health Research are positive for COVID-19).

It should be highlighted that, as part of preventive measures, targeted testing was conducted to all the employees within the risk groups. Furthermore, individual monitoring was carried out by the physician-epidemiologists of the Customs Department, which involves evaluating appropriate clinical signs and compiling relevant detailed anamnesis based on the information obtained.

In coordination with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, the full coronavirus testing process will be implemented gradually at other customs checkpoints and customs clearance zones of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance.
